Hey everyone! My name is Robert, I'm a passionate Calisthenics & Bodyweight coach.
At 31 years old, fitness and movement have always been an integral part of my life. From a young age, I was a sports enthusiast, driven by a competitive spirit.
I dedicated nine years of my childhood and teenage years to intensive training in Kickboxing, even achieving the incredible feat of winning the Amateur World Championship in Kickboxing back in 2004.
However, as life unfolds, we often encounter unexpected challenges. Unfortunately, after switching to and playing football for three years, a knee injury forced me to take a break from my beloved sports.
It was at the age of 26 that I stumbled upon Calisthenics, and it completely changed my fitness journey.
I vividly remember passing by a calisthenics and parkour park on a sunny day in Utrecht, the Netherlands. As I watched some guys effortlessly performing muscle-ups, I was captivated and decided to give it a try myself.
Little did I know that I would fail miserably. But that failure became the catalyst for my deep passion for Calisthenics.
Eager to learn and improve, I started seeking advice from everyone I could find at the park. While their tips were helpful, they didn't fully consider my personal needs and challenges. Determined to progress, I delved into the vast sea of educational content available online for Calisthenics. Trust me when I say it's quite an adventure!
The amount of information out there can be overwhelming, leading to confusion and uncertainty. However, I was committed to my journey and spent countless hours in the evenings, absorbing knowledge from video tutorials, podcasts, blogs, and more.
Admittedly, I made my fair share of mistakes along the way. Not every piece of information I gathered translated smoothly into practice. However, these mistakes taught me valuable lessons and heightened my awareness of the importance of understanding movement patterns, proper technique, and the engagement of specific muscles in various exercises.
Today, my primary goal is to share the knowledge and insights I have gained with others who are eager to understand their bodies better, achieve better health, and enhance their physical appearance.
I believe that fitness is not just about looking good but also about feeling great in your own skin and moving with confidence.
